Currently, we are looking for people of all backgrounds and experiences to join our volunteer programmes overseas! These involve either going to community development projects in Southern Africa or taking climate action in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Climate Activist Team![]

The Climate Activist teams will volunteer with Richmond Vale Academy in St Vincent and the Grenadines
Here are some examples of what you can do:
* Tree planting - an ongoing very important action to mitigate the consequences of Climate Change
* Teaching school children about Climate Change, recycling and garbage management.
* Construction of bio-gas plants
* Establishing home gardens in local communities
* Solar energy and installment of solar cells
.... and many other things! Costs and scholarships:

The course fees from 2021 are £ 4,100 and cover all the expenses for the 5 months: training and travel to the project in St Vincent and the Grenadines, including food and accommodation, health insurance, visa etc. There is also an enrollment fee of £350.

But - if you have a big heart but not much money, don't give up🥰!

If you have a European citizenship, you are welcome to apply for our Gaia team where you can raise your course fees by helping with our clothes and shoes recycling project or other tasks😄.

Poverty Activist Team[]

The Poverty Activist programme is for volunteers for development projects in countries such as Mozambique or Malawi.  It is 12 months long, with 5-month studies and preparations at the college in Hull followed by a 6-month volunteer placement at a development project.
