Cost: FREE In the near future, the majority of the world’s population will reside in cities. Currently, our cities are not designed to accommodate their current population effectively, let alone a rapidly growing one.
According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation “Under this ‘linear system’, cities consume over 75% of natural resources, produce over 50% of global waste, and emit between 60-80% of greenhouse gases.”
However, cities provide the ultimate platform for change because they are the melting pot of so many environmental problems from waste systems to the built environment, transportation to food systems the possibility for change is endless. The answer? Design – circularly.
Collectively, we can reimagine the way we create, design and evolve our built environment to ensure a sustainable future. Using technology to spark innovation and positive behaviour change within our cities, affecting our lifestyle and well-being.
